Second Amendment Issues
General Joseph Warren
We are fortunate to live in a county named after a man who fought and died to give birth to our nation. So it's natural for people who live here to believe in the things that he believed in. One of those things was a people's right to defend themselves against an oppressive or tyrranical government.

Now some folks may believe that here in the 21st century Americans don't have to worry about such things because we have rights. But what they don't realize is those rights are not a magic shield. They only exist because the men and women of this country were willing to shed their own blood in order to acquire and defend those rights. Our recent past has spoiled us into thinking that would no longer be necessary. But history has shown that not to be true.
We believe the 2nd amendment is key to defending the Constitution and all of our rights. This republic was founded as a nation of self government. Each individual was expected to do their part in it.

It was citizen soldiers with their own rifles and muskets who won our freedom and it is up to us to preserve that freedom. If we do not have the will and the means to do that, our freedom will be lost. We may not need guns right now. But as the saying goes, "Tis better to have and not need, than to need and not have."
If you feel as we do, join us. There is another organization that feels as we do. The Second Amendment Coalition of Missouri has been working to preserve our 2nd amendment rights here in Missouri since 1991. They can provide you with more detailed information on 2nd amendment issues.
"But you must remember, my fellow-citizens, that eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty, and that you must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing. It behooves you, therefore, to be watchful in your States as well as in the Federal Government."
-- Andrew Jackson, Farewell Address,
